FUNKATELLO HOUSE POLICY.
Our policy at this establishment is clear in that we want to ensure all our guests enjoy themselves.
We are here to serve people with alcoholic beverages responsibly.
We want to ensure everyone enjoys themselves and do not want to allow people drink in excess and
place themselves and anyone else at risk. Working together we can create a safe and enjoyable
environment.
To achieve the aims of this policy the team will effect the following strategies;
• Prevent underage drinking by insisting provision of proof of age documentation is presented.
Accepted proof of age IDs includes:
- A driver or rider licence or permit issued by an Australian State or Territory or any foreign
country
- a NSW Digital Driver Licence
- Australian or other passport
- NSW photo card
- proof of age card issued by a public authority of the Commonwealth or of another State or
Territory for the purpose of attesting to a person's identity and age
- Keypass (over-18) identity card issued by Australia Post.
• Preventing intoxication by recognising signs of intoxication and avoiding serving anyone to
the point of intoxication. We will deny entry or service to anyone who is presenting signs of
intoxication. Intoxicated persons will be asked to leave the premises.
• Managing intoxicated, anti-social or disruptive patrons by discouraging them from becoming
involved in any activity that can harm themselves or others.
• Ensuring staff have adequate training to comply with the requirements for the responsible
service of alcohol.
• Ensuring that low alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages are always available when we are
trading.
• Providing responsible promotion of liquor products in accordance with the New South Wales
Liquor Industry’s Code of Practice.
• Providing safe transport options for patrons, including calling taxis on request.
Our establishment complies with the statutory requirement of providing free or reasonably priced
drinking water for the enjoyment of our patrons.
BYO wine Policy
Funkatello is a fully licensed premises so restrictions apply to BYO wine due to legislative requirements. You must consult with restaurant prior to booking/arrival otherwise we reserve the right to reject alcohol brought on the premises. Fees and restrictions apply. Each wine bottle must be labelled with appropriate details of alcohol content all other containers will be confiscated and stored away from table and returned to the guest at the end of the night. Anyone breaking the rules or berating the staff regarding the conditions of this policy will be removed from the premises. Bookings larger than 4 persons are not permitted with BYO wine there are no exemptions to this rule.
